In 2002, the world's leading manufactirer of Nottingham Lace told it's employees mid-shift that the company has offically shut down.  Due to the rise in inexpensive import goods, the Scranton Lace Company was forced to close it's doors for the first time in 86 years.  These photos are from a brief visit in May 2014.  I'm just learning now that I had explored less than 1/4 of the entire factory.
